$46,000 INDIGENOUS FUNDRAISER
After hearing the horrifying news at the end of May, 2021 about the discovery of 215 unmarked graves at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in BC, I initiated a fundraiser on June 16th. With your help and donations my goal is to raise $46,000 from the sale of 215 limited edition prints of my 2006 painting “Nature’s Playground” (215 X $215).

As of December 21st, 2022, 141 prints have been sold and $46,110 donated. I’m very grateful for this tremendous support for our beloved Canadian Indigenous community, however, my job is not done. I remain determined to sell all 215 prints and surpass my ambitious goal. Time tends to fade and forget the severity of situations, however, this crisis is far from over as new discoveries continue to be made. This story was Canada’s top news story of 2021, selected by editors in newsrooms across the country.

To participate please donate $215 (minimum) to one of the following 3 charities, send me an email notification (paulvg@shaw.ca) and you will receive a print:
1) Indian Residential School Survivors Society: https://www.irsss.ca
2) The Legacy of Hope Foundation: https://legacyofhope.ca
3) Tk’emlups te Secwepemc:

Printing cost generously donated by Judy Littke (Kamloops, BC)

I would sincerely appreciate you spreading the word.

CHARITY CALENDAR
In 2011, Pat Ward, then President & CEO of Painted Pony Energy, contacted me about publishing a calendar to raise money for charity while promoting my art and his company. The charity he selected was Calgary based www.hopethiopia.com. In the first 9 years of calendars, over $1,050,000 was donated. Despite Pat selling his company in 2020, he and his wife Michelle personally sponsored the 2021 calendar. With heartfelt thanks to the extraordinary support we received, our 10 years of calendars raised over $1.2 million for HOPEthiopia.
